ON WIRADJURI LAND

This program is a Cooley-Emerson Warribilla Land Trust initiative, established to acknowledge, foster, and reinforce Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and heritage of the Wiradjuri people.

Throughout our programs and ceremonies, we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, as we engage young a-Gunya (our children), welcoming them back to our cultural spaces beyond the invisible Barrage of assimilation that has separated us from the a-R-Luka.

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the Wiradjuri people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we meet. We pay respect to their Elders, past, present, and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise and respect their continuing connection to land, water, and community. We strive to create meaningful relationships with First Nations peoples and are committed to listening, learning and changing.
